Illegal Immigrants Are Unfairly Persecuted

Many who are against the tightening of our borders and against the enforcement of our current immigration laws say that we are unfairly attacking the Mexican Minority, which is coming here to build a better life for themselves and their families. These anti-enforcement of our Immigration Law folks decry the concept of a special ID program or the REAL ID Act and state; I'm afraid that the REAL ID will not provide a Mexican immigrant worker that helps provide the entire East Coast with tomatoes with the ability to legally drive a car.

Those who are pro-REAL ID Act challenge those against it and say; Why foreign nationals come here and use their International Drivers Licenses? Those who visit our country do the same. Your comment is kind of silly isnt it? You are speaking total liberal academia and you deny what is happening out there.

But the debate rages on when the liberal agenda retorts back and states; Not to mention that the REAL ID ACT is an $82 billion military spending bill that will be given to the Department of Homeland Security.

Those who are for enforcing our laws and our borders reply matter of factly that the DHS is responsible to protect the American People and this includes many agencies, who did you expect to receive the funding for such an act once enacted? Is an illegal alien has broken the law. If the individual is on a work or student VISA and he or She is a guest in our nation and failed to follow the rules then they must face the enforcement. You see this debate is interesting in that, because we as citizens are forced to follow rules with no excuses, ever been to a traffic court? You speed you get a ticket, you pay, they could care less of any excuse. Are we to believe that someone here illegally in the first place does not have to follow the rules only a US Citizen?

As the debate rages on between those who wish to tighten our borders and enforce the laws and those who wish to have the borders open and continue risking our national security for illegal aliens we will certainly see a show down of political will. This national discussion is turning into a national debate rather quickly isnt it? Think on this in 2006.
